This piece would be more credible if it reckoned with some of the evidence widely reported elsewhere about this case, like the video showing the person with a megaphone in front of a giant "by any means necessary" banner, or the fact that he was a mediator for a group that broke rules by taking over a building. That is hard to square with the portrayal here, which is similar to what you might find in any left-wing publication and not what I expect from the Sundial.
There is an abundance of evidence of Mohsen’s commitment to non-violence from his own speeches, writing and presentations as well as the personal relationships he’s made over the last ten years, including my friendship with him (I am Jewish and have strong ties to israel). Also the two pieces of evidence that your refer, what do you think they say about him? To me the first one says that he existed in a space where people held a variety of viewpoints, perhaps one being that “any means necessary are justified”, but if you actually listen to Mohsen or get to know him it is very clear that this is not his view.

You’d be more credible if you just admitted you’re cool with genocide and cold towards the 1st Amendment.

And on the photo, he wears a keffieh… that says it all.
